A modpack is a compilation of many mods. To install a modpack on the server, you must upload a server pack that contains all the mods, configurations, and other files required for the modpack to run. Follow these steps:
1. Reinstall to Forge (or Fabric)
- Reinstall your server to the correct Forge (or Fabric) version.
- If your modpack requires a specific Forge (or Fabric) version, you can select the build number under Advanced Options when reinstalling.
- If you already have a server and do not want to keep the world, configuration, etc., you can choose “Delete files” under Advanced options to get a fresh server.
2. Find a server pack
- Find a server pack for the modpack you want to use. You can usually find a server pack on CurseForge.
- For example, they may appear on the right under Recent Files labeled as a Server Pack for your desired Minecraft version.
- Alternatively, if you are using the CurseForge launcher, you can press the three dots and then select “Download Server Pack.”
- If you have trouble finding the server pack for the modpack you want to use, contact our support on Discord or ask the modpack developer.
3. Upload the server pack
- Go to the File manager tab and click Open WebFTP.
- Click Upload, then “Extract and upload zip file”
- Choose the server pack zip file and wait for it to upload.
4. Start the server
- Start the server and watch the console for crashes or errors. Modpacks may take a long time to start.
- Join the server! Note that you need the same modpack installed on your computer to be able to join the server.
